After graduating from Goldsmiths College, London with a BA in Drama & Theatre
Kat founded KONKRETE Productions and directed and produced stage plays in London and Berlin.
In 2005 she won a scholarship to study for an MA in Film making at the London Film School.
During her time at the film school she wrote the screenplays to five shorts and directed four of them. 'The Crossing' (2007) premiered in London at the Curzon Cinema, Soho in conjunction with the UK premiere of Von Donnersmark's 'The Lives of Others'.
In 2008, Kat set up KATRINFILM to produce her graduation film 'Ruegen' funded by the German Film Board and premiered at the Krakow Film Festival. The film was bought by German TV station WDR/ARTE and is repeatedly broadcast on German, Austrian and French TV.
Kat currently develops a number of screenplays with writers, among them ‘The Shadows’ with renowned German thriller writer Holger-Karsten Schmidt, ‘Rewire’ with British TV regular writer Marc Pye and 'Cabbie' with award winning British writer Andrew Weale.
Katrin also teaches her own directing workshop ‘Director’s Film Lab and runs the modified version of it as RADA Film Lab for DirectorsUK.
She is currently in pre-production of 'Cabbie'.
